Zoë Mills is a comedy writer and director from Washington, DC. Currently based in Los Angeles, California, she is a 2020 graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts with a BFA in Film and Television Production.

Zoë currently writes, directs, and stars in her web series, Girl Texts, which is inspired by her tendency to spiral over the nuances of modern day text exchanges. A soon-to-be produced episode for the series placed as a finalist in both the 2025 Barnstorm Fest Screenplay Competition and the 2025 Cinequest Screenplay Competition. Five episodes can currently be streamed on both YouTube and girltexts.com, while three new episodes will be premiering in 2026.

Zoë is also currently developing her feature, which was a second-rounder at the 2024 Austin Film Festival, a quarter-finalist in both the 2024 Screencraft Screenwriting Fellowship and the 2024 Emerging Screenwriters Screenplay Competition, and the runner-up in Script Pipeline’s 2023 First Look Project.

Outside of her narrative work, Zoë can be found posting short-form comedy content on her TikTok and Instagram platforms, where she has amassed over 53,000 followers and over 6 million likes as of 2026, or refining new stand-up material at various Los Angeles open mics 2-3 times a week.

Zoë currently assists a team of distinguished writers on a television show as the Writers’ Assistant.
