writer, director, comedian

Zoë Mills is a comedy writer and director from Washington, DC. Currently based in Los Angeles, California, she is a 2020 graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts with a BFA in Film and Television Production.

Zoë currently writes, directs, and stars in her web series, Girl Texts, which is inspired by her tendency to spiral over the nuances of modern day text exchanges. A soon-to-be produced episode for the series placed as a finalist in both the 2025 Barnstorm Fest Screenplay Competition and the 2025 Cinequest Screenplay Competition. The four episodes can be streamed on both YouTube and girltexts.com, while the fifth episode, “FAB”, premieres on October 16th, 2025.

Zoë is also currently developing her feature, which was a second-rounder at the 2024 Austin Film Festival, a quarter-finalist in both the 2024 Screencraft Screenwriting Fellowship and the 2024 Emerging Screenwriters Screenplay Competition, and the runner-up in Script Pipeline’s 2023 First Look Project.

Outside of her narrative work, Zoë can be found posting short-form comedy content on her TikTok platform, where she has amassed over 38,000 followers and 4 million likes as of 2025, or refining new stand-up material at various Los Angeles open mics 2-3 times a week.

Zoë currently assists a team of distinguished writers as the Writers’ PA on Season 3 of Percy Jackson and The Olympians on Disney+.
